Today's Marketing Cookie is about the balance between selflessness and self-improvement.

Salvador Dali once said, "Have no fear of perfection because you'll never reach it." While this may be true, it does not grant us permission to resign, retreat, or retract. If not aspiring for perfection, what then shall we seek? How then shall we improve? I believe the act of giving to someone who will never find out is generosity in its purest form, and such giving makes an everlasting impact.

Striving for perfection in what you do, and giving with pure generosity, creates a concentric balance between selflessness and self-improvement. As your hands toil and labor in pursuit of excellence, you are then able to take advantage of your elevated status to give greater care for others. When you subscribe to such divine aspirations, today's fortune becomes true about you as it says, "Generosity and perfection are your everlasting goals."
