A movie would be a great way to relax this weekend.
Today's Marketing Cookie is one of my favorite things to do. I love relaxing, I love movies—especially the good ones, and I even love weekends—the rainy ones included. How about you?
I still remember my first movie experience in 1979. I had a buddy, John, in the 3rd grade who invited me to go with him to the drive-in movies in Mendon, MA. His father took us in his lime green Ford Pinto. He had loaded the back of the car with every kind of junk food you could imagine. He found a good spot to park, attached the speaker to the window, and we watched a double feature of Disney's "Lady and the Tramp," followed by "The Unidentified Flying Oddball."
I was mesmerized.
You see, I grew up in a very conservative household, and we didn't have a TV. As you can imagine, going to see my first movie on a one-hundred-foot screen was larger than life and an experience I’ve never forgotten. I fell in love with movies in that moment! I love a good movie, and I especially love a good story. How about you?
As marketers, we have many opportunities to tell a good story. We can explain how we've solved problems for our customers, or tell a story of differentiation to help prospects understand how your company is better or different. You can use the art of storytelling to make your products and services more relevant and compelling. The truth is, people love a story—especially a good one.
