Go For The Goals!
Today's Marketing Cookie makes a bold prediction about where you are headed. And if you set goals for your marketing, I believe you can get there. Sure, I bump into marketers now and then who float through their role without the pressure of hitting those pesky quarterly numbers or chasing specific targets.
But let's be real, for the majority of us in the marketing world, it's all about crunching those numbers month after month, smashing those quarterly targets, and showing off our growth muscles year after year. The bar's always getting raised, making our goals tougher and pushing us to conjure up more opportunities than a magician pulls rabbits out of a hat.
So, even if your reach exceeds your grasp, sketching out those goals and plotting a course towards them is like drawing your own map to the land of sunshine. Sure, navigating the success of your strategies and tactics is another adventure altogether. But at the very least, you'll get a clear picture of what's lighting up fireworks and what's fizzling out.
